Since it's inception, the people associated with the Highlander - the ride staff, riders, and volunteers - have recognized the importance of giving back to the community. Each year, the Highlander Staff and partners work diligently to provide a world class event while minimizing the costs - so that the majority of the rider fees and all supplementary donations can be returned to the community.
Our commitment to charity continues to be demonstrated through our partnership with several important organizations...the LANCE AMSTRONG FOUNDATION the South Bristol Historical Society, the Genesee Valley Harriers, Crescent Trail Association, Mercy Flight Central and other local health, fitness and green space initiatives. Thanks to all the riders that generously gave of their own resources to these outstanding causes. |

Since it's inception, the Highlander has contributed over $20,000 to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The Highlander looks forward to a continued partnership with LAF. |
