Testimonials

“I loved the ride. Great roads, beautiful countryside, monster climbs, and grape pie….it just doesn’t get any better than this!”  -Carol

“I had a great experience – thanks to all your rest stop volunteers and the organizing team. Even having a flat was in its own way a rewarding experience, due to the kind help offered.” -John

“This is the best event in the Northeast, and one of the best anywhere.” -Brad

“I’ve done one thing more difficult in life and that was taking lead down range in Afghanistan” -Army major after completing the fabled DB4D Highlander Century+ course

“I loved the Lowlander!  I have ridden many centuries, starting with the Seattle to Portland years ago.   This was one of the best days I’ve ever had on a bike!!  The organization of the events was great – as were the route markings and timing/location of the rest stops.  But the ride itself was really spectacular.  And the last climb to the Canandaigua Lake overlook was truly wonderful.  You and your organization should be congratulated.   Can’t wait to do it again next year!”   -Ellen

We promised you amazing for our Silver Anniversary. The Highlander is joining forces with the Genesee Valley Cycling Club to present a weekend long festival of ride! On Sat. Aug. 24, the GVCC Classic will race in the Bristol Hills. There will be categories for all. On Sun. Aug. 25th, The Highlander will ride. The intent is to encourage everyone to ride both or at least participate in some way.

During the Highlander, we will keep with our “Tour de France” style of ever-changing and new courses. This will include some new hills and amazing scenery on roads less traveled. 2024 also marks the Return of the Queen, the Lowlander! A full century+ with half the climbing! As part of our 25th Anniversary, we will even be hosting a “Cyclist Chapel” at the mountain to inspire you to new heights.

Climbing Strong since 2000, the Highlander Cycle Tour is an annual charity bicycle tour in parts of New York’s famous Finger Lakes Wine Country. With amazing roads, gravel/dirt, and single-track options available, there’s something for everyone.  Course options will range in length from 30 to 110 miles, and degrees of difficulty from family friendly ride to incredible climbing exceeding 10,000′! For sure the Highlander will treat the rider to some of the finest and most exhilarating riding in North America. Come celebrate with us as we bring back the passion of cycling’s heart!
