Since it’s inception, the people associated with the Highlander – the ride staff, riders, and volunteers – have recognized the importance of giving back to the community. Each year, the Highlander Staff and partners work diligently to provide a world class event while minimizing the costs – so that the majority of the rider fees and all supplementary donations can be returned to the community. Over our short history we have together given back nearly $220K.
Our commitment to charity continues to be demonstrated through our partnership with several important organizations… Mercy Flight Central, South Bristol Historical Society, Genesee Valley Harriers, Crescent Trail Association, Rochester XC Ski Foundation, Friends of the Genesee Greenway, and other local health, fitness and green space initiatives. Thanks to all the riders that generously gave of their own resources to these outstanding causes.
